Claito started with a simple frustration: we had data about our health, money, habits, and productivity scattered across a dozen apps — and none of them told us what any of it actually meant.
In early 2025, our founder was staring at an Apple Health export. 3 years of heart rate data, sleep logs, step counts — thousands of data points — sitting in a massive XML file that no human could make sense of.
The question was simple: "Am I healthy?" And the answer, apparently, required a data science degree, three Python scripts, and a cross-reference with medical literature to figure out.
That felt broken. Your own data should tell you something useful — without work.
Then came Tim Urban's Your Life in Weeks post. The idea that you could take the abstract concept of a human lifespan and make it visceral, emotional, and immediately understandable with nothing more than a grid of squares. No fancy charts. No machine learning. Just perspective.
That's when Claito clicked: What if every number in your life had context? What if you didn't just know your resting heart rate was 62 — you knew that put you in the 68th percentile for your age? What if your savings rate wasn't just a percentage — it was a rank among people in your city?
Claito is a personal metrics operating system. One app that connects to everything — Apple Health, bank accounts, reading lists, fitness trackers, spreadsheets — and turns raw numbers into understanding.
We show you your data the way Tim Urban would: with grids, blocks, and visualizations that make abstract numbers feel real. And we add the layer that's missing from every tracking app: benchmarks. Context. Meaning.
Not "your step count is 8,420." Instead: "your step count is 8,420 — that's more than 73% of people your age in your city, and 12% higher than your average last month."
Your data is yours. End-to-end encrypted. We compute benchmarks from anonymized, aggregated data. Nobody — including us — can see your individual numbers.
We'd rather do 10 things perfectly than 100 things badly. If it doesn't make your data more understandable, we don't build it.
Inspired by Tim Urban. A grid of colored squares can be more powerful than a complex line chart. We design for gut-punch, not chart-porn.
A number without context is just noise. Every metric in Claito comes with benchmarks, trends, and comparisons baked in.
